This was a special project for Shackadelic and proves that things don’t have to be big to be beautiful. This compact shack was built for an illustrator who wanted to work from home but away from the main house. Having limited space we designed a clever pod, which fits neatly into a corner of the garden. It is flooded with light from the huge window and also from the stable door, the top of which can be opened for ventilation. Inside we covered the walls from top to bottom in cork, acting as a giant pin board for his creativity and illustrations. The exterior is clad in cedar and the green roof complements the garden and natural surroundings.
